Our mission is to facilitate fully functioning and socially responsible communities. To achieve this vision, CORP provides access to fundamental social services such as education, health care, nutrition and vocational training, enabling communities to pull themselves out of poverty and become self-reliant, independent and socially responsible.Our long-standing motto is ‘Give a man a fish and he will live for a day. Teach him to fish and he will live a lifetime.’ This motto underpins our operations and our vision for the future.
WE AIM:
• To create an awareness of self-worth.
• To provide facilities for improving the conditions of life, specifically for the poorer sections of society
• To stimulate self-reliance and development within communities.
• To encourage, train and enable local people to assume community responsibilities.
• To encourage all segments of society, irrespective of caste, creed, religion or economic situation, to cooperate on long-term developments.
Today, CORP runs 20 centers in 13 slum communities across greater Mumbai. The total number of beneficiaries includes participants from all Health Camps, as well as individuals who received routine care through CORP centres
Our programmes focus on children, women and the communities in which they live.
The work we do is not possible without the generosity of our donors and sponsors, and the commitment of our volunteers.
